Kitchen design: Newbury, Berkshire

The brief for this Highclere, Newbury kitchen project was to create an open plan kitchen, living and dining area that would provide a large and sociable space with plenty of seating for family and friends. The clients wanted a sleek new kitchen that would be easy to keep clean and look smart and modern. 

To create a sociable family space, we incorporated a variety of seating options into the design of the kitchen; not only have we included seating for dining and lounging, but we have provided casual seating at the island and bespoke bench seating. This makes the space flexible and accommodating for a variety of occasions and guests. Larder storage, pan drawers, open shelving and kitchen cabinets offer a multitude of storage possibilities as well as the space to display accessories.

Handleless slab doors contribute to an easy-clean, neat, modern style, as well as the contemporary textured surfaces and minimalistic approach to the design. True handleless rails allow easy access to ensure the kitchen’s practicality and longevity.

Attractive feature lighting provides a warm and cosy ambience whilst directing focus within each zone throughout the open plan space, helping to create a subtle transition between the kitchen and living areas.
